Board of Directors (President, President Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Past President, and Historian)
- Approve annual budget
- Attend all chapter meetings
- Approve all chapter activities and projects
- Assist in development of chapter calendar
- Actively support and participate in all chapter activities and projects
- Attend all monthly chapter meetings
- Provide representation to section meetings, section conference, state conference, and Legislative Day
- Liaison with section and state
- Be the primary spoke persons for CCAE at the school
- Provide information about the organization to the staff
- Organize special events, recognitions, installation of officers, etc.
- Work with and get support of school administration
President
- Schedule and conduct monthly chapter meetings
- Supervise preparation of annual budget
- Develop calendar of events
- Attend section meetings, section conference, and state conference
- Appoint committees and assist in their planning
- Ensure that candidate are found for all positions for enduing year
- Ensure that annual IRS form is completed and mailed to State Office
- Conduct an officer training meeting prior to September 1
- Be a designated signer of checks
President Elect/Vice President
- Assist President in all chapter duties
- Work with Membership Committee
- Prepare for ascendancy to a higher position
- Attend at least one section meeting
- Assume the duties of the President, as needed
- Be a designated signer of checks
Secretary
- Take minutes of all chapter meetings
- Type, duplicate and distribute minutes for approval
- Type and distribute memos and announcements
- Complete necessary correspondence
- Handle duties of sunshine chair unless otherwise assigned
Treasurer
- Work with board in preparing budget
- Complete and submit annual IRS form to State Office
- Keep an accurate accounting of all income and expenditures
- Write checks, make deposits into chapter account
- Complete all financial matters in a timely manner
- Be one of the designated signers of checks
- Provide financial reports
- Provide for collection of money at events
Historian
- Keep a record of the club’s activities
- Displays club mementos at special meetings
- Take pictures at events
Past President
- Act as parliamentarian for the board
- Chair annual nominating and elections committee
- Provide guidance and assistance to the board
Legislative Chair/Committee
- Maintain an awareness of current legislative issues
- Distribute appropriate materials to staff members
- Liaison with section Legislative Chair
- Coordinate letter writing campaigns
Membership Committee
- Actively recruit members into CCAE
- Conduct membership drives
- Distribute promotional materials
- Devise membership incentives
Scholarship Committee
- Designate fund raisers for scholarships
- Conduct student and staff scholarship activities
Publicity Committee
- Prepare and distribute quarterly newsletter
- Prepare flyers for chapter activities
- Submit items to section newsletter
- Work with other committees to publicize events
Awards Committee
- Recognize outstanding staff and student accomplishments
- Hold annual installation/awards event
Social Committee
- Organize school-wide social activities
- Attempt to broaden base of those who attend by selecting new events
- Evaluate effectiveness of current program
- Properly publicize activities
- Recruit volunteers to work on social events
Fund Raising Committee
- Organize existing fund raising activities
- Develop additional new projects
- Recruit volunteers to handle various projects
- Evaluate effectiveness of projects
- Develop a calendar of projects
- Solicit ideas from other chapters
Education Committee
- Provide speakers on topics of general interest to the membership
- Disseminate pertinent information
- Work with administration in organizing a school-wide inservice
