Some stories remind us why adult education matters so deeply, and this is one of them. With tremendous courage, Zhan Xu left his home country of China, said goodbye to everyone he loved, and arrived in the United States. With limited English, he had one driving purpose: to build a life doing what he was passionate about, working with cars. He dove headfirst into Hacienda La Puente Adult Education's Automotive Technician CTE program with the heart of a true lifelong learner, and in just one semester, he earned his A6 ASE certification, a remarkable achievement that speaks to his grit, his focus, and his belief that it is never too late to start over and dream big. We are so proud to watch him take every lesson, every skill, and every ounce of hard-earned knowledge and pour it into his ultimate goal: opening his very own auto repair shop someday soon.
