Frances Sanchez brought her extensive customer service experience gained through her work with LAUSD and the private sector to Downey Adult School. In her third year as office manager, Frances’ number one goal is excellent customer service for both staff and students.
Frances is involved in every aspect of Downey Adult School (DAS) and is a member of DAS Marketing and Social Media committee and CCAE’s scholarship committee. Frances is instrumental in making a positive impact on DAS. A student-driven, student-first professional, DAS is fortunate to have Frances and her insight involved with its execution of systems and policies. She volunteers at all marketing events including Downey Relay for Life. She helps administration streamline processes and procedures to be student-friendly and oversees DAS’ Phlebotomy program with professionalism and tact.
Whenever Frances sees a need, she fills it. DAS’ evening students had no cafeteria option and limited food choices; therefore, Frances contracted with a company for vending machines that also included a microwave for students to use in the evening. It was met with resounding gratitude by students.
Downey Adult School is grateful to Frances for her vision and enthusiasm. Congratulations on receiving the Excellence in Support Services Award.
