Ms. Jackie Morales has worked for the Division of Adult and Career Education for the past 11 years and is a CCAE member in good standing. She began her career at LAUSD as a clerk working with Veronica Montes in the Alternative Education Work Center program. She was later promoted to office technician and is now a senior office technician working with the WIOA and program performance team. Ms. Morales exemplifies the definition of a team player. Although assigned to support a specific central office unit, she cheerfully supports all units on the 18th floor. Colleagues comment that she deserves the DACE ‘Miss Congeniality Award’ because she easily steps in to support events, trainings, meetings, etc., with preparing packets, pulling supplies, and setting up. She knows everyone and everyone knows and appreciates her.
Ms. Morales is incredibly organized and detail oriented. She keeps the WIOA trains running on time in that she understands the framework of the CASAS testing system and makes sure that schools have all the CASAS assessment supplies that they need. She receives CASAS, Tops Enterprise entry and update forms, and EL civics orders from all the DACE schools, and then she kicks into action – ordering from CASAS, overseeing the copying process for EL civics COAAPS, notifying the PPTs when their order is ready, and even bringing the order to the curb so they don’t have to park! She is all about providing good service and efficiency. Jackie’s contributions to CCAE have been numerous and in a similar support role. Whether it is an LA Metro award event, section conference, or assisting with state conference tasks, she is always willing to step up and lend a hand. No task is too big or too small to get her attention and expertise. Jackie is like a vitamin that allows DACE to be faster, stronger, better!
