El Monte - Rosemead Adult School South Coast Section [email protected] |
Bio Jennifer has been a CCAE member for six years since being hired at the adult school. She is an asset to our CCAE chapter. Her assistance with promoting CCAE fundraisers during EMRAS events has led to the collection of thousands of dollars in student scholarships, assisting students as they continue their educational pathway. In addition to promoting them, Jennifer regularly purchases our fundraising merchandise. As a leader of our EMRAS Planning Committee, Jennifer has organized many resource fairs, and regularly invites CCAE to have a booth to promote its membership.
As a counselor, Jennifer’s main duties revolve around support service to adult education students, and she excels at her job. She provides counseling support to students in all program areas, helping them understand available resources, pathways and options, so they can make informed choices and goals for their futures. Ms. Anuchiracheeva-Zamarripa networks with CalWORKs, EDD, the Dept. of Rehabilitation, and the Dept. of Mental Health among others to gather information and resources to support our varied student needs. She creates and presents workshops on topics such as: Resume Writing and Motivation and Persistence. She and her fellow counselors host “Coffee with the Counselors” events to create a safe space for students to seek out information and support. Jennifer has served on the Leadership Team for Support Services during EMRAS’s WASC Self-Study. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate at the University of La Verne’s EdD program, focusing her dissertation on Adult Education with Adult School Counseling Support. Through her studies, she found a lack of research on adult education support services and is contributing to the body of knowledge in this area with her experience, studies and dissertation. Most importantly, Jennifer understands the needs of the community and our students. She is a product of our district schools and has worked in education with our district for 22 years.
