Excellence in Teaching
Josh Murphy was selected as one of our Southern Section Excellence in Teaching award winners for our Regional Conference this fall. His work at Escondido Adult school is tireless, teaching classes both day and evening over many years. Josh strives to bring technology and life experience together to demonstrate to his ABE, GED, and High school students that education changes lives. He is an inspiration to his students in everything he does.
Joshua Murphy is an outstanding teacher in the high school diploma / high school equivalency program at Escondido Adult School. Over the years, Josh has always demonstrated a can do, positive attitude to his teaching that has encouraged dozens of students to achieve their goal of a diploma or high school equivalency certificate. He continually moves around the classroom finding time to assist and motivate students in the broad range of subjects of the program.
Josh has both Chaired the WASC team last year at Escondido, in which they received a 6 year clear, but has also been incredibly active at the Section level, working on recent conferences as well as the 2014 State Conference, and as Chapter President for Escondido. He follows in the footsteps of CCAE alumni Brian Head and Dom Gagliardi in his passion for adult students and adult education.
