Bio
Daniel Soriano, M.Ed., has been involved in Education for 30 years. First as a teacher assistant in 1991, then as an elementary teacher at a private school.
Daniel began working for Los Angeles Unified School District/Division of Adult & Career Education in 1998. He first started working as an Alternative Education Teacher for At Risk Youth and moved on teaching in various other programs that entailed recruiting, enrolling, monitoring, and assisting with job placement for students. While employed for LAUSD, he also worked as an English as a Second Language, and Learning Lab teacher.
Daniel began working at Azusa Adult Education Center in October 2013 as the school counselor. What Daniel enjoys most about being a School Counselor is being able to inspire students to maximize their potential. When people see failure, he sees success, when people see a loser, he sees a winner, when people say they can’t, he says, “Yes YOU Can!”
Daniel is a regular at our annual CCAE Section conference at the local and sometimes at the State level. He has also served as President for the Azusa Adult Education CCAE Chapter.
On his days off, you will most likely find him coaching softball, practicing soccer, or at his daughter’s Jasmine and Sabrina games or enjoying a nice morning walk with his wife, Margaret.
