Additionally, don’t miss our recorded Zoomcast session on supporting undocumented students from Javier Carbajal-Ramos of LA Valley College's Dream Resource Center. The One Thing All Great Teachers Do
This TED Talk from Dr. Nick Fuhrman is full of heart, humor and practical advice. It reminds us of those quintessential elements that make up a great teacher.
It’s not degrees and certificates; it comes with a lot of commitment. He goes over those elements he thinks are essential: teachable moments, celebrate mistakes, appreciate differences, relay feedback, and evaluate yourself. It’s a great way to remember why we teach in the first place.
Dr. Nick Fuhrman is an associate professor of environmental education in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication.
Also known as “Ranger Nick,” he teaches graduate courses in educational program development and data analysis and undergraduate courses in environmental education and teaching methods.
