Bio
Diane Gallegos has now entered her 13th year as a Barbering/Salon Services Instructor at Baldwin Park Adult and Community Education, where presently students are working on clients in their classroom salon. Diane works hard to make every lesson interactive and fun for students. Her classroom is warm and inviting so students feel comfortable which was noted during Student Leadership Committee meetings. Ms. Gallegos’ adult education experience started in 2008. Ms. Gallegos has been able to create a Google Classroom for her students and was constantly seeking training to enhance her online room. Diane has created simple YouTube videos to share with her students so they can have ample support during their training.
Diane has been a member of CCAE since 2011. Along with her students, she has contributed a good amount of time assisting CCAE & BPACE in many school functions. She has participated in fundraisers and has motivated her students to assist in raising money for student scholarships. Diane has personally assisted and encouraged many students to register for outside activities, including Hot Hands Barber Brawl Competitions, Probeauty.org, and ISSE (International Salon and Spa Expo) among others. Diane Gallegos’ contributions to adult education are clearly recognized by her students, and the BPACE staff.
