Bio
Heather D. Pasicznyk has been a dental teacher for fourteen years, 9 of which have been at Hacienda La Puente Adult Education School.  She has demonstrated what a true teacher should be. Even during the pandemic, she has continued to teach on campus to make sure that students have the practical experience they need, while keeping proper protocol for safety for her students and herself.  Her dedication to her students and the benefits that she has given to the program is beyond words. She is an advocate for her students, as well as Adult Education and is a wonderful team player, bringing new concepts to the school and the program. According to her Program Administrator, Valerie Clifford, “she never complains and always makes every effort to make things work. Always positive, no matter the situation.”

Heather is a member of California Association of Dental Assisting Teachers and meets annually with other Dental Instructors within the State to review, revise, and to make changes in laws, regulations, curriculum and continuing education. She revamps the Registered Dental Assistant Program for HLPAE / revising yearly to better benefit the program and student success. She works with San Gabriel Valley Foundation for Dental Health Clinic (nonprofit) from her classroom providing dental care for the community. She works with advisory members and the community to understand the needs in creating a competent dental assistant that can put patients at ease and be an asset to the dentists.
