Bio Prior to her decade-long career working with Tulare County Child Welfare Services, Ms. Bridgwater-Rowe was the high school credit instructor at a women's only half-way house. In 2016 she joined the world of adult education as part-time HSD instructor on a satellite campus for Visalia Adult School. Since then, Ms. Bridgwater-Rowe has transitioned to a full-time HSD/HSE instructor position, in addition to coordinating multiple SIP reports, an FPM, and both a WASC mid-term and full-term report.
In her various titles as educator and student advocate, Ms. Bridgwater-Rowe's work ethic has consistently benefited her students. She excels at counseling individual students in both their schooling goals, as well as assisting them in setting their personal goals. Her students know that she will go above and beyond for them by assisting them outside of school hours with their educational needs. Their learning outcomes are just the beginning of their growth under Ms. Bridgwater-Rowe's guidance. She carries herself with a warm and friendly disposition that makes it easy for students to discuss their needs with her. Ms. Bridgwater-Rowe is highly knowledgeable in her field and has been a major resource for students and teachers alike and it is because of her service to our adult students that she has been nominated to receive the CCAE State Excellence in Teaching Award.
In addition to her work with her adult students, Ms. Bridgwater-Rowe has significantly impacted the adult learners both at Visalia Adult School and within the Central Section's CCAE community. She has been the President of Visalia's CCAE Chapter for the past eight years. Under her leadership, the Chapter has expanded their fundraising events to regularly include fundraising events for other, local non-profit charities. As the Legislative Chair at the Section level, Ms. Bridgwater-Rowe organized the 2020 meetings with legislators during CCAE's most difficult Leg. Day event.
