Bio
Mr. Saidi has been A CTE instructor for almost two decades. He has trained hundreds of automotive mechanics throughout his teaching career and continues to produce automotive technicians into the workplace. He is committed to teaching his students and providing them with opportunities to grow and better themselves. Mr. Saidi is an avid SkillsUSA Advisor. He volunteers in this life changing organization and prepares his students and others to compete. He has encouraged countless students to participate and win in multiple SkillsUSA competitions from the local to the national level. SkillsUSA changes lives every day. Students discover and grow their career passions and appreciate their own self-worth through the work and dedication of instructors like Mr. Saidi. He and his students conduct community service activities every year, using their occupational and leadership skills to benefit their neighbors and the surrounding community. He has been participating in SkillsUSA for over 15 years and he has the gold medals and flags to show for. The time he takes to prepare and build the confidence to compete in his students is admirable. He works with them during the competitions at SkillsUSA and provides them with the reassurance they need to bring those medals home. For many of LAUSD’s students participating in SkillsUSA affords them the experiences of competing academically, staying in a hotel and even boarding a plane for the first time.
Mr. Saidi’s talent does not stop there. He attends professional development opportunities, his CTE program holds PLCs for the field and he participates in trade advisory meetings. As noted, Mr. Saidi is committed to teaching and training his students. His students over the years, often return to see him just to let him know how they are doing.
