Lori Morton is in her second year as the Director of Adult Education at Tulare Joint Union High School district, leading the amazing team who make a difference in the lives of adults in the greater Tulare community through academic and career training programs. For 19 years, Lori has been connected to Career Technical Education and Adult Education through her roles in both the K-12 and Community College systems. Prior to joining TJUHSD, Lori served Tulare County Office of Education (TCOE) as the Career Pathways Engagement Manager and before moving to the TCOE, Lori worked for the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools Office as Business Engagement Coordinator as well as the Region 4 Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG) Technical Assistance Provider, serving 10 counties in the Central Valley to enhance high quality career education pathways. Prior to her work at FCSS, Lori served as the Director of State Center Consortium of the State Center Community College District. In 2014, her role expanded to include the Director of the newly formed State Center Adult Education Consortium working to partner adult schools with community colleges, public agencies, and community-based organizations to develop a regional comprehensive plan for adult education. From 2007-2012 Lori worked for Valley Regional Occupational Program as the Instructional Coordinator, overseeing all curriculum and instruction for CTE programs on six high school campuses. Lori began her career as business teacher, after graduating from Fresno State with her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2002. She went on to earn her California Administrative Services Credential in 2007 and master’s degree in organizational leadership from National University in 2011. In the spring of 2019, Lori received the Distinguished Alumni Award from National University for her contributions in the fields of education and business leadership.
