Bio
Rosa Elena Vargas has been serving students at Tulare Adult School since 2016 and goes above and beyond to assist students every day from orientation, to testing, to registration as well as other support and referrals. Rosa is our only Counselor at TAS, yet makes time to meet with students throughout her day to make sure they are all on the right track and making progress towards their goals. Her empathic nature and patience helps her build relationships with students that motivate them to continue their education and pursue success, no matter their background or barriers.
Rosa has been an ardent supporter of the Tulare CCAE chapter. She is a cheerleader, a pinch hitter, and a star! She always goes above the call of duty in her everyday connections with students and she exemplifies dedication and hard work. She is willing to lend a hand for our fundraisers and attends every meeting. We appreciate her support of our chapter. Rosa Vargas has been an active chapter member of CCAE for 6 years and was elected as Treasurer this year which has expanded her contributions. She has worked closely with our Chapter President, Jonathan Kurts to arrange fundraisers for students scholarships and shore-up our fiscal accountability processes. Her leadership in our local chapter contributes to our representation at the section level as she exemplifies student services and its importance in Adult Ed. Rosa has attended CCAE Section and State Conferences in the past and continues to learn how she can best support adult learners. Her desire for professional growth alongside her state peers keeps her informed and ready to serve each and every day. We are proud to have Rosa on our team!
